8 AM    Bird Walk and Talk at the new Cashiers Recreation Center with Romney Bathurst, Board member of the Highlands Plateau Audubon Society. The Highlands Plateau is a  vitally important breeding and nesting area for many species of birds – come join her to investigate the avian aspect of our mountains!
 
10 AM   Black Bear Program at Gorges State Park. Presentations by Gaye Owen, the  “Bear  Lady,” and Park Ranger Robert McGraw. Concludes with a one-mile moderate hike to Bear Wallow Falls in hopes of seeing – well, you know. Transportation leaves from Sapphire Valley Community Center promptly at 10 AM. Bring a lunch to enjoy at the trailhead.    


10 AM    Devil’s Elbow hike to three waterfalls in Panthertown led by Willie Dodds. A moderate hike of 3½ - 4 miles round trip into Panthertown, a 6,300-acre wilderness known to many as the “Yosemite of the East.” Transportation leaves from Sapphire Valley Community Center promptly at 10 AM. Bring a lunch to enjoy on the trail.    
 
3 PM  Special presentation by Wildlife Warrior Steve O'Neil featuring some of his "Most Misunderstood Animals"*** Provided *FREE*  for SV Campers, Along With Other Children and Adults:  Location: Sapphire Valley Community Center's Riverside Room  
 
6:30 PM   Sapphire Valley Community Center Open for  Silent Auction Viewing ++
7:00 PM   PINNACLE RIDGE GOSPEL BLUEGRASS CONCERT
7:35 PM   "EXPERIENCING THE BEAUTY OF NATURE FOUND IN GOD'S CREATION"
Featuring photography and commentary by Bill Lea, Music by Bryan Heller

10:15 AM  "THE NOT SO TANGLED WEB" ***NEW PRESENTATION** Featuring wildlife expert,
 Michael Skinner and his   "WINGS N' THINGS"  from the Balsam Mountain Nature Center.
                
11-11:10 AM.....BREAK
 
11:10- AM  Wildlife adventures by Kim Delozier from his book, "BEAR IN THE BACK SEAT"
 Amazing  animals stories told by Kim, the whole family will enjoy.  **NEW**
 
12-1 PM       LUNCH
 
1 PM   "WHAT LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD DIDN'T TELL YOU ABOUT THE BIG  "GOOD" WOLF"..***NEW PRESENTATION by..Dr. Dave Unger...He will share insights  (in a fascinating way) regarding not only wolves but other wildlife  including bears, coyotes, and  other carnivores.
                
1:50-2 PM  BREAK
 
2-2:50 PM  "WILDLIFE WONDERS" featuring a close up opportunity to view and learn about a variety of  animals from the North Georgia Zoo.  Always an exciting time!.
